The most pictured animal

Posted on Juni 8th, 2014

They are nearly on every photo, even if you don’t see them. You can do what you want, they likes to be photographed. If you try to shoot your dog, the dog is no more in the image but you can count on it, this animal is in focus. You don’t know of whom I’m talking about? Insects!
So, to the other things on the image. There is also a mountain in the background and a thistle in the foreground, both where to big to erase it in photoshop…

Atrium

Posted on April 2nd, 2014

The nightly walk through Vienna goes on. This time I can show you the inner part of the Hofburg, if you walking past the Hofreitschule then you come to this atrium. Normally are there a bunch of cars and people, but if you go at night, you can take pictures like nobody is living there. Except the one single car at the back, do you see it?
Anyway, if you are in an interesting city, go for a night walk and see all the places without the tourists, after all I’m not a tourist I’m a photographer ;)

You have only one chance to get a photo of an impressiv building and then this. There are framework on it and this needless lightning. Do you have ever made the same experience, to be in a city and the nice buildings are covert with construction frames?
Well, however, this is the best image I could get from the outside of this building. Maybe I have mor luck at another stay in Vienna.

Another famous building from Vienna, the Burgtheater. It is also a shot from my nightly photowalk through Vienna. Short text because the flu has catched me. I will try to write more tomorrow…

Cafe Central

On my nightly tour through Vienna I came to this impressive building. The Cafe Central was founded at 1876 and closed at the end of World War II. In the 1980’s was the building refurbished the the famous cafe has reopend in this building with the name “Palais Ferstel” again. It is another part in Vienna with history and if you visit this town go and get a coffee at Herrengasse 14.

Die neue Burg

I don’t know why it’s called “The new castle”. I mean, I can imagine, but why not a visionary name? However this is one of the many awesome buildings in Vienna. And I shot this picture at night, without the whole tourists and all the traffic in front of it, except for a few cars. The hard part is this yellow light. There are nearly no other colors in the image and I don’t know how to correct it. A bit yellow is okay but it looks like yolk to me.

Schloss Belvedere

Still in Vienna, it was a cloudy cold day were we watching the sightseeings of the city. It’s not easy to take images if the sky is only a white nothing. But if you take braketing series and go dark enough you can see the clouds in sky. This image looks much better with a structured sky than with a white background like the normal images will look like, without HDR. So I tell you, shoot everytime a bracketing series, you never know when you need some extra dynamic in your photos.
